Meet the Indigenous Titans

We are the Indigenous Titans! Help us get to the Titan Generator in Austin, TX on March 9, 2019.

The Titan Generator is a dynamic startup micro-accelerator powered by national social movements to support entrepreneurs of color.

Several Indigenous businesses were selected to take part in the Titan Generator, which includes Vanessa Bowen of Bowen Creative, Haley Laughter of Hozho Total Wellness, Jaime Gloshay of Native Women Lead, Percilla Frizzell of Sacred Generations, Jake Foreman of Karuna Colectiva, Stephanie Gutierrez of Hope Nation LLC, Lee Francis of Native Realities, and Stephine Poston of Poston & Associates.

Vanessa Bowen

Bowen Creative

Bowen Creative (BWNC) came into being in 2016 when a culturally sensitive design aesthetic was needed among Indigenous communities.

Since the start of the creative firm, Bowen Creative has worked with various clients in Native America and beyond.

BWNC was founded by Vanessa Bowen (Diné/Navajo). She is an artist, designer, and DJ who resides in Albuquerque, NM with her husband and two small children.

Hozho Total Wellness

HTW is the official Indigenous mobile yoga studio, providing yoga workshops, classes, and teacher training's across Indian Country. We focus on health and wellness through physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being, while incorporating Indigenous teaching, to preserve culture.
Our classes and workshops are beginner level, and we cater to all ages and people.

Jake is the founder of Karuna Colectiva, an intergenerational cooperative that connects us back to our Indigenous ways of knowing.

Ms. Poston is committed to inspiring tribal communities through culturally competent community-based approaches. As the owner of Poston & Associates, she curates provocative convos with pixie dust kindness. Breakthrough facilitator, maven, connector, team building are her assets.

Lee Francis

Native Realities

Dr. Lee Francis 4 (Pueblo of Laguna) is the Head Indigenerd and Founder of Native Realities, the only Native and Indigenous pop culture company in the United States. Over the past four years he has published more than ten comic book and graphic novel titles, launched the Indigenous Comic Con, opened Red Planet Books and Comics, and expanded into international markets (Melbourne, Australia). His first comic book, Sixkiller, debuted June 2018 to critical acclaim. He is a strong advocate for Native youth, with a focus on community literacy and entrepreneurship. He lives in Albuquerque with his family.

Jaime Gloshay

Native Women Lead

Jaime Gloshay is a Co-Founder of Native Women Lead (NWL). She will be joining Generation Titans to represent NWL as they continue to develop and launch their hybrid model. She is Project Manager at Roanhorse Consulting (RCLLC), a Native-American and Woman-owned company. Jaime administers RCLLC’s diverse initiatives focused on thoughtful access to capital within Indian Country. Before joining RCLLC, she was a Community Loan Officer at Accion New Mexico, establishing their Native lending program. Jaime is a Opportunity Finance Network fellow, a national fellowship, with the goal of ensuring equitable investment in underserved and disenfranchised communities in the Community Development Financial Institute (CDFI) industry. She is Navajo, White Mountain Apache, and Kiowa. Jaime holds a B.A. in Native Americans Studies, and a M.P.A. with a focus on on Nonprofit Management from the University of New Mexico.

Percilla Frizzell

Sacred Generations

Percilla Frizzell (Diné) is a 2018 Echoing Green global fellow and founder of Sacred Generations alongside her formerly incarcerated husband (Shoshone). Their personal proximity to pain and power as system-impacted Indigenous peoples of this stolen land has brought them together to protect sovereign nations and honor the sacred. Sacred Generations is a healing and racial justice movement of medicine organizing system-impacted tribal communities to end educational inequity, mass incarceration and climate injustice in Native California and beyond.

Vanessa Roanhorse, CEO of Roanhorse Consulting, LLC. Vanessa is an inclusive solutions-driven problem solver committed to liberating all peoples and delivering impactful mechanisms for social, environmental and economic change. She launched Roanhorse Consulting in order to work with unheralded populations to achieve and aspire their self-determination by forging communities of practice, creating equity through entrepreneurship, and encouraging economic empowerment from within. Vanessa sits on the local Living Cities table, is a Startup Champions Network member, is an Advisor for emerging Navajo incubator, Change Labs, Advisor for Native Entrepreneurship in Residence Program, is a governing council board member for Siembra Leadership Highschool in Albuquerque and is the co-founder of Native Women Lead, an organization dedicated to growing Native women into positions of leadership and business.
